As many of you may know, the Qld Land Titles Registry is no longer accepting over the counter lodgements of plans, and developers and their lawyers are required to lodge by post. What does this mean for expected time frames? To give you an idea, we recently sent plans to DNR in Brisbane by express post on 15 April 2020 for a Gold Coast land subdivision occuring at Runaway Bay. The DNR emailed us the lodgement summary and receipt on 22 April (which is the norm now since 21 April). On 28 April we received notice of registration. It was an unexpected but pleasant surprise to us and our client to receive registration so quick in these times. Our client was very happy with the result. I hope you find the same results for you and your clients.
