The Qld Titles Office has now facilitated elodgement of basic survey plans. This is very welcoming in the current COVID-19 climate. Recently, we saw the Qld Titles Office allow for the electronic signing and sealing of survey plans by both local council and owners, which has never happened previously. And now a month later we have electronic lodgement of basic survey plans. This will assist professionals like us enormously with the lodgement process. At Priala Legal we have been using elodgement for many years now. This means we are able to lodge various titles office documents eletronically with the Land Titles Office for clients, rather than the archaic over the counter paper lodgement. However, survey plans were never allowed to be lodged electronically. This development is another stepping stone towards utilising technology means moving forward. Our clients will benefit from a more efficient lodgement system by using us to lodge and register their plans. At the moment only basic survey plans are allowed to be lodged electronically, but no doubt, the elodgement of plans for community title schemes are just around the corner.
