An article emerged recently in the Gold Coast Bulletin about supposed pressuring sales tactics by certain agents on unit owners by misrepresenting proposed body corporate laws that are yet to kick in. The article was posted in the Gold Coast Bulletin on 22 March: https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au In Episode 199 on our channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3GnbsBSokk we discussed the body corporate law reforms in Qld that ARE NOT law as yet, and have been tabled only for discussion at this time. If you are a unit owner please be aware that under current Qld laws you must have 100% of the votes from all lot owners before the entire building and lots can be sold to a developer, for example. The law does not provide that only 75% of votes is required. If you receive communication from any agent to the contrary please reach out to us becasue that is incorrect and wrong. We will keep you updated as these law reforms in Qld evolve, but they are just that, law reforms, not law yet.
