Granny Flat Arrangements are typically written agreements that give eligible persons the right to ocuppy for life. Granny flat arrangements or accommodation for life arrangements are recognised by the Australian Taxation Office where eligible persons can participate and enter into such arrangements where they benefit by receiving accommodation for life, usually with an adult child or children. The information is vast and substantial and can be a very important part of estate planning and restructuring for older Australians.
