In this segment, we discuss the recent overturning of the landmark ruling of Roe v Wade made in the US in 1973, and the landscape now in the US regarding abortion rights. We also take a look and compare the history of the US abortion rights as compared to the Australian history, and find quite a contrast between a right to liberty in the US Constitution that extended to reproductive decisions, versus law reform in Australia, where abortion was once seen as a crime and has bee decriminalised over the years. Will the US decision here have any impact on Australian laws? An interesting insight!

The show was designed to give back to the community which Despina did in droves. Her weekly radio show was broadcast on the Gold Coast each Thursday on 104.1FM Gold Coast/Tweed & 103.5FM Northern Rivers and had a substantial following since 2020. Despina talked about various hot topics at local, state and federal level, and answered the questions that ordinary Australians want to hear. And the best part, it was free.
