This issue recently was highlighted on the Gold Coast by various industry people and it is a controversial issue. Without further changes being made to the Qld legislation, buyers must ensure that they understand the nature of an off the plan contract, the risk associated with buying off the plan, and how those risks can and are to some extent mitigated by consumer protection laws.
